A 244-Hectare Hub for Green Technology and Global Logistics

ACCRA, Ghana – 16th March 2024 – Ten Forward International Group (TFI Group) today announced the formal launch of the integrated master plan for the Hiowe Industrial Park in the Greater Accra Region. This ambitious 244-Hectare development is designed to be West Africa’s premier industrial, technology, and logistics hub, strategically integrating local value addition with seamless access to global trade routes.

The vision for the park centers on creating a sustainable, secure, and digitally advanced environment. The design prioritizes logistical efficiency, highlighted by a dedicated Rail Siding & Inland Port. This core infrastructure provides a direct link to the 20km railway connecting to Tema Port, the largest seaport in West Africa. This crucial link minimizes logistical bottlenecks, ensuring rapid and predictable movement of goods to and from international markets.

A significant portion of the development is dedicated to advanced technology and manufacturing. This includes an Advanced Manufacturing & Technology Cluster featuring a specialized Solar Technology Park for the assembly of solar panels and battery storage systems, and an Electronics & Light Assembly Zone for consumer electronics and IoT devices. Additionally, a Data & Communications Hub is planned, designed to host a secure, state-of-the-art Tier III+ Data Center Campus, supported by a redundant, dark-fibre ring network throughout the park.

Founder and Director of Ten Forward International Group, Nana Prempeh, highlighted the park’s dual mandate of industrialization and sustainability. “The Hiowe Industrial Park is more than just land and concrete; it is a blueprint for Ghana’s future economic resilience,” said Nana Prempeh. “By integrating our own renewable energy generation with cutting-edge data and logistics infrastructure, we are not simply inviting foreign investors—we are building the ecosystem they need to thrive, right here in Accra. This park is where Ghana’s minerals will become high-value finished goods, powered by the sun and shipped across the world with

The entire park will be supported by independent utilities, including dedicated Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment Plants, and comprehensive security measures, including an 8ft vandal-proof perimeter fence and advanced digital access control. The proximity of the Logistics & Warehousing District to the inland port further solidifies the park’s role as a regional distribution powerhouse.

Nana Prempeh concluded by emphasizing the strategic impact on local employment and technological transfer: “Our commitment extends beyond profit. Every stage of this project, from construction to final operations, is designed to maximize local employment and foster skill development in green energy and digital technologies. We are building a legacy of self-sufficiency and innovation that will define Ghana’s position in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) for generations to come.”
